McGregor Accuses Khabib of NFT Scam Involving $4.4M Drop
Conor McGregor has reignited his feud with Khabib Nurmagomedov, this time targeting the retired UFC star's recent NFT project. Nurmagomedov's drop, tied to the traditional Dagestani papakha headpiece, reportedly sold 29,000 NFTs and generated over $4.4 million within 25 hours before all promotional content vanished from his social media.
McGregor didn't hold back, calling the project a scam that exploited both Dagestani culture and the legacy of Khabib's late father. "Father's plan has now become Father's scam," McGregor wrote on X, criticizing the abrupt deletion of all NFT-related posts after sales concluded.
The timing of McGregor's accusations coincides with his own preparations for a potential 2025 UFC comeback. Meanwhile, Khabib has denied any wrongdoing, though the lack of transparency around the NFT project's sudden disappearance continues to fuel speculation.
